I registered OceansCoast.com on February 12, 2006. It is dedicated to Flight Simulator. What Inspired me to learn to fly the sim after 45 years in the tech industry and retiring in 2020? My first job in 1976 was at Texas Instruments. In the late 70’s while at TI I took a position working with NASA in Houston at the Johnson Space center.
It has always been a vivid memory being part of the Shuttle program and flight in general. The first mission of the space transport system (STS-1) or Space Shuttle, flew on April 12, 1981.
When I started learning the sim I did this tribute video.
Working with the great people at NASA some times you couldn’t help but being affected by the presence of God around you.
Buzz Aldrin – An Apollo 11 astronaut who took communion on the moon, the first food and drink consumed there
Jim Irwin – An Apollo 15 pilot who said he felt an overwhelming sense of God’s presence while on the moon
John Glenn – A trailblazing NASA astronaut who said he prayed every day on his spaceflights and that looking at the creation in space made him believe in God
